Krati Doshi

My
recent practice is focused on abstract paintings, developing a visual language
using repetition, colour, form and mark making. I work on a range of surfaces
including paper, board and canvas, using mixed media techniques through a
combination of screen-print, mono-print, collage, acrylic, pastels, oil
pastels, pens, graphite.
I use my work as a medium to communicate and explore the Self by investigating the balance between the controlled and uncontrolled, which is necessary in one’s life. I consider my work to be therapeutic not only for myself but the audience, wanting everyone to see themselves as a reflection within the artwork.
