Lily Purslow

My practice includes the production of various textiles, such as hand embroidery, weaving and screen printing. This body of work has seen extensive documentation of travel in my local area be reproduced as textile. The ‘ back and forth’ motion of travelling was represented by weaving as the production of the textile uses the same action. Important themes included colour, texture and pattern. The journeys noted continued into lockdown as I recorded and produced new textile based on my daily exercise. This was affected by how I was interacting differently within public spaces.
